Hideaway Horse Show Practice & Prep Camp

We'll spend each day preparing and practicing for the Hideaway Horse Shows on Saturday Feb 24 and April 20.

Show classes will include:

  • model pony (realistic & artistic)

  • stick horse (dressage & jumping)

  • costumes

  • unmounted (dressage & jumping)

  • dressage tests

  • jumping classes

Camp activities and riding lessons will be tailored to the needs of the participants to including practice for all classes and grooming.

Each registration includes two free classes at the horse show.

Kid’s Summer Horse Camp

This year we’re spending summer camp in the barn, in the are arena and on the trails with two daily lessons in addition to morning horse care.

  • Practice perseverance, teamwork, and commitment.

  • Enjoy the connection with our safe and steady lesson horses.

  • Face fears and build self-confidence.

  • Develop body awareness and self-control.

  • Learn about risk management for good judgement.

Each day we’ll care for the horses and then break into groups by experience for one daily mounted riding lesson and one daily unmounted lesson with the horses.

We’ll have one group for kids who have ridden before and one group for kids who are entirely new to riding. All are welcome!

Holiday Mini Pony & Model Horse Camp

December TBD, 9am-2pm

A festive equine experience… in miniature!

  • Appropriate for kids of any experience (ages 6-10),

  • We’ll care for and decorate the mini ponies, build gingerbread horse farms and decorate model horse dioramas!

  • During camp, we’ll talk about the upcoming Hideaway Horse Shows (February 24 and April 20) and how to prepare for the model horse divisions! Two free classes are included with camp! Participation in the horse show is optional.

  • Please pack outdoor gear for the weather and a healthy lunch!

** This is not a riding camp.
